Because we care about the health and welfare of our white dove release doves we are committed to the following ethical dove release policy for all of our wedding dove, funeral and memorial dove, and special event white dove releases in Washington and Idaho:
We will release only well trained, well cared for white racing pigeon stock, also known as homing pigeons, which have been raised and trained to return home to their loft after each white dove release ceremony.
We will ensure that EVERY white dove release event has a knowledgeable white dove release coordinator present. The white dove release coordinator will be 100% reliable, and on time.
We will ensure that the white dove release coordinator and any assistants will be wearing appropriate attire for every white dove release event.
We will return white dove release service deposits for cancelled releases due to “acts of God” such as bad weather, etc.
We will NOT release white dove release doves INDOORS.
We will NOT release white dove release doves AT NIGHT, or too close to sunset.
We will NOT release white dove release doves in INCLEMENT WEATHER such as rain storms, fog or snow where visibility is decreased (including conditions of heavy smoke due to fires). We might be able to release our white release doves in light rain showers, at our discretion, but we will not release our white dove release doves in lighting storms or downpours.
We will NOT drop off or allow pick up or ship white dove release doves by mail for self-release.
We will NOT release white dove release doves from beyond the range which they are able to safely fly home from.
